Bikram's yoga ads sweltering twist to age-old practice
Therese Martin kneels on her yoga mat, taking a moment to mentally prepare for "camel" pose. A few seconds later, she has bent her torso into the shape of a cashew, her head hanging back, palms resting on her heels. Sweat glistens off her back.
It's an awkward, muscle-taxing pose, aided by the fact that the room is 105 degrees and as humid as a Southern swamp.
"A warm body equals warm muscles, and it's easier to move," Martin says.
